Tumble Tots
Ages: 2 years old
Duration: 30 minutes
Ratio: 3:1
NO EVALUATION NEEDED TO PARTICIPATE
This class will be a continuation of mommy and me, however new students are welcomed and will feel just as comfortable. Parents will have the opportunity to participate in a class or two to help the transition and will be welcomed to sit on the floor around the stations to make their little one feel more comfortable. Children may be expected to sit for 3-5 minutes at a time, while waiting their turn. Children will begin to learn very basic tumbling skills along with coordination, balance, and some introduction into life lessons such as waiting your turn and sharing.

We will also continue with strength and flexibility training to continue to prepare our bodies for the next set of skills. NOTE: The handstand, cartwheel and round-off from a lunge, need to be mastered with the grade of an “A” before moving into Tumble 101.
Evaluations
Those 6 and older will need to be evaluated before entering level classes in the program. We evaluate the children to make sure they are enrolled in the level that is appropriate for maximum learning and skill progression. Tumbling does require a specific progressive structure to maximize on the athletes’ ability to perform skills correctly and beautifully while minimizing injuries and regression. Children are placed in the appropriate level based on skill, instead of age. This program has been designed this way to encourage progress so our athletes do not become discouraged and want to leave the program. Growth in all areas of childrens’ development is very important to us and we want to set them up for success now and build confidence and strength for later in life.
LEVEL Cheer and Tumbling classes
These classes are offered in a progressive manner for level appropriate USASF levels in cheer related tumbling. We follow these levels because this is the safest and most progressive way to learn tumbling skills that pertain to cheerleading with the maximum amount of skills learned and the least amount of injuries. Our system has been tested and perfected for our needs over the past 10 years and we follow this system very closely. There are specialty classes for children that don’t fit the age or skill requirements, that may have started tumble and cheer later in life.

Open Gym Sessions
Target ages: 8 and up
Prerequisite skills: N/A
Duration: 2-3 hours
Ratio: N/A
Open gym sessions are few and far between as usually we can only offer them on the weekends and we know how busy your weekends are!! Open gym sessions are for kids or adults to come and use our facility without being under the direction of a class. Coaches will be present at open gym sessions but are not there to spot or to teach. They are there to ensure the safety of the members attending and help with verbal corrections. Some coaches will take a hands on approach but open gym is more for athletes to work on skills they can already do.
Class Schedule
The classes listed on our schedule are classes that currently HAVE availability for Summer One session. Summer Two session has the same exact schedule but if we were to post those classes now the schedule listed would be huge and complicated. Summer Two is a 5 week session so the only difference is that Summer Two is a little more expensive.
We ARE offering our class passes as well I hope to have that listed on the schedule with prices ASAP!!!
Private Lessons:
Private lessons are a wonderful tool to enhance an athletes skill level with some one on one training. At Flip House we have found that students who ONLY do private lessons as opposed to group classes tend to progress slower. We have done our own research and students who are in a tumbling class along with a private lesson tend to progress faster than being in one or the other so we require anyone interested in private lessons to be enrolled into our classes or our competitive cheer program. Lessons are also highly sought after (especially right before tryouts) and in limited availability due to time constraints so we will not accept anyone for lessons without being a part of the Flip House. So sorry for any inconvenience. Like many other sports year round practice is essential for success, not just a month before the season.
